Marketing & PR Firms - How to Create Augmented Reality Business Cards
Saturday, November 23, 2013
Augmented Reality (AR) is a process whereby technology enhances the real world around you by using computers, smartphones or other digital devices. For example, a sightseer in New York might point a smartphone at a particular building and be able to see interesting facts about it on the phone's screen. Augmented Reality, or AR, can also be used to enhance a person's business card to connect the real world to the virtual world in a few simple steps.
1
Visit http://keremerkan.net/qr-code-and-2d-code-generator and select "Create vCard" from the drop-down menu. This will begin the process of creating a QR-code that you can add to your business card. The code will enable the receiver to scan it and easily import all your contact details to their smartphone.
2
Fill in your contact details and click "Generate Code."
3
Save the QR-code to your computer by right-clicking and choosing "Save Target As." Now add your QR-code image to your business card using your preferred business card design software.
4
Download a QR-code reader to your Smartphone. If you are unsure which one to choose, then see the Resources section for a selection of tools. Scan your Augmented Reality business card to see the QR-code in action.
