Marketing & PR Firms - How to Print Flyers in the USA
Saturday, November 23, 2013
Flyers are a staple form of print marketing. They come in many sizes, colors and designs but they all have the same purpose, to catch the eye and attention of the consumer. They can be posted in public areas, placed on cars, handed directly to consumers or posted inside businesses with the permission of the owner. Once you have completed your design and checked for grammar and spelling errors you are ready to start the printing process. When printing out a large amount of flyers the most cost effective and efficient way is to utilize the services of a printing company.
Printing Your Flyers
1
Contact several printing companies. Some of the more well known ones include Next Day Flyers (nextdayflyers.com), Vista Print (vistaprint.com), Print Place (printplace.com), UPrinting (uprinting.com) and PsPrint (psprint.com). Provide them with the specifications for the flyer, including paper choice, color process, dimensions and the number of flyers needed.
2
Ask the printing companies about additional services they offer. Some companies offer to send you a free proof of the flyer either digitally or by mail before begin printing your order. This is a good perk and a great way to make sure that your flyer is exactly what you want before printing. Also check to see if shipping and handling are included or ask how much this would add to your cost.
3
Ask the companies about file formats they will accept. The range of file types accepted differs from company to company but can include Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.
4
Analyze the information you receive, taking into account price; the perks, free proofs, offered by some companies; and additional fees that might exist.
Make your final decision and order your flyers from the printing company of your choice. It should take no more than a week to receive your flyers.
